Tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi, I’m Carolyn Wakeling a Director at Sherpa Marketing – one of the UK’s fastest growing marketing agencies, based here in Bedford.
What is Sherpa Marketing all about?
A technology marketing agency specialising in demand generation and achieving real ROI results for our clients – especially in demand generation and digital advertising. We work with some of the world’s largest companies including Microsoft, Cisco, Dell & Adobe.
What is your favorite thing about being based in Bedford?
I have been based in Bedford my whole life and the excellent transport links to London and the rest of the country are great for our business. Bedford has an awesome talent pool of creative people as well and we have a fantastic team here. We’re also surrounded by a lot of independent business which leads to great networking too.
Why is word of mouth so important to you?
Because a recommendation or endorsement is trusted more when it comes from someone who genuinely means it. A lot of our growth has come from doing an excellent job for existing Clients and so a recommendation is our best source of new business.
How have you found using Recommendable so far? And, most importantly, would you recommend it to a friend?
Very simple – it took about 10 minutes to create our full profile and the fact that it integrates with Facebook means the social side is great too! We have used it to enhance our organic social platform and as a place where potential clients can see what a great job we do.
