Recommendations are better than reviews
There are many business review sites out there, but just how trustworthy are they? An investigation by Guardian Money last year uncovered a huge scale of fake reviewing. Companies were hiring offshore contractors to write fake reviews on an almost industrial scale.
Although some of these review sites do try to wheedle out fake reviews; by getting reviewers to verify their purchase or transaction, there is little which can be done to combat the fraudulent activity – some companies will contact people who’ve genuinely written a bad review and offer them money to delete the review. All this results in a bad consumer experience, where it is impossible to authentically get a measure of a company or service.
This is why Recommendable is different. Because businesses are Recommended via Facebook – users can see which of their friends or how many friends of friends have recommended a service – there is just no scope to fake it.
There are also no long-winded reviews. People either recommend a business with a click of a button or they don’t. We’re about keeping it simple and trustworthy for the businesses and the users.
